This is just plain messed up

Sometimes things happen that make you completely lose faith in people. What you are about to read is an example of that.

NFL defensive lineman, Darrion Scott, was charged Tuesday with assault after he allegedly held a plastic dry cleaning bag over his 2-year old son's head while the boy kicked and cried for help. Could you imagine the horror the boy's mother felt when she heard the muffled screams of her son coming from another room, only to find his father suffocating him?

When the boy was examined by a doctor after the incident it was discovered that the boy also had marks on his body that were consistent with being either struck or burned. This is just sick and Scott should be kicked out of the league no matter what BS reason he tries to use to justify what he did. Scott's excuse by the way was that he was trying to see if his toddler son could get the bag off himself. Even if that is true, the league has to take a tough stand on anyone who puts children in harms way like this.

This is the first NFL legal issue we can recall that has to do with the harming of a child since Goodell took charge. Will this be where the league draws the line? Scott is a free agent without a team, making it real easy to make an example out of him.
